Milestones and Earthtones

Yes, it's got a circulation of 5000. Yes, it's a weekly paper in Nebraska. Rural Nebraska. But that tiny little paper from the geographical median of our Yankee-centric universe wants to reprint my story on Murrow, Edwards, Clooney and Moonves and why broadcast journalism sucks.

The key terms in that run-on were "reprint," "my" and "story".

That's a first.

Also, I've decided to buy more browns. Natural fibers and whatnot.

I had something to complain about, but I've forgotten it ... I'm going to blog from work tomorrow, I think. Until then me hearties, adieu.

Ah, young Luke. Ever since you were a squeaky new hatchling, lurching headlong out of the nest to find your own scratch instead of that regurgitated wormstuff your mom would pack into your beak, I've known you would make a name for yourself.

Now you can buy a goofy suit and take calls from Nebraska, whoever that is.

We're so proud of you. I mean, from an oily runt who hardly found his way out of the shell and who'd just as well drop 30 feet to the sod below than to figure out what his wings are for,,, to a newspaper man! Who'da thought!? Not me, my brain's the size of pebble! And not your mom, she doesn't even know my name.

Now, don't get scared, we didn't learn to type. Some cute hippie human up here to spike the tree is dictating this for us.

You coming home for wormsgiving?
